Marine Forecast
Synopsis: A remnant cold front is located well offshore of the lower Texas coast this morning. Mariners can expect light and variable winds across the local marine areas behind the front through the early morning hours. Eventually, winds will transition to a southerly or south southeasterly direction as high pressure builds westward across the Gulf of Mexico. In time this will boost winds into the 10 to 15 knot range and elevate seas to around 3 to 4 feet or so offshore. Another cold front may approach southeast Texas towards the end of the week, which will increase moisture and rain chances Wednesday through Friday.
